It’s been hard times for several months now. Indeed, since the beginning of the year, the price of fuel in France and throughout Europe has always been very high. A very difficult situation for everyone, especially for those who drive their car to work every day. And if the government wants to introduce a little help for the latter, it should not be enough to compensate for the incredible price increase. Currently, a liter of unleaded gasoline costs more than 1.70 euros, although at some gas stations it is more than two euros. Enough to push some to act in a very unpleasant way, while fuel theft has been on the rise in recent months.
The French are punished by supply interruptions at service stations.
Thus, the government continues the discount of 30 centimes/l at gas stations until mid-November.@TotalEnergies also extends its discount of 20 centimes/l for the same period. pic.twitter.com/u7EdYWGliB

Several relapses
This is exactly what we are talking about today. In a few months, 29-year-old Adil allegedly stole more than 4,000 liters of fuel from his former employer. Indeed, by that time he was working as a bus driver for the company Keolis Trans-Azur, based in the Salon de Provence in Bouches-du-Rhône. On the night of March 11-12, the police searched the suspect’s car and home for the first fuel theft. That didn’t stop the main stakeholder from starting again, as a few months later the company reported a second theft, then another 800 litres. finally, the last trouble is 3000 liters the company also reported to the police about damages in the amount of more than 6,000 euros.
A heavy sentence
Finally, after a short investigation, the thief was quickly located, his phone still tied up near the scene of the theft. If the latter tried to justify himself by explaining his flights to the situation, it was not enough to convince the judge. Therefore, the accused was sentenced to severe punishment six months of imprisonment and a fine of 6,000 euros. All this was also accompanied by a probationary suspension for five years. And, of course, he was also fired from his job, which shouldn’t surprise you…
