Panathinaikos beat the Baskonia 98-83 in Game 7 of the Euroleague. Dejan Radonjić’s team returned to success with a second victory in the competition. The Spanish team fell to 4-3.

The visitors took a 6-12 lead with Howard, but the striped clover went 17-12 with Bacon. Panathinaikos was in control in the first quarter, which ended 22-18 with two points from Marinkovic.

The hosts went 25-21 thanks to Bacon’s two-pointer, Baskonia equalized with Costello’s shot and Howard’s three-pointer. The Spaniards continued their streak and reached 25-27 with Thompson. The hosts went on a mini-run to make it 30-29, with Gudaitis and Kochar giving the Spaniards the lead again. The guests closed the half, leading with a score of 38:43 thanks to Henry’s two-pointer.

With Kochar’s two-pointer, the Baskonia went 38-45 early in the third quarter. The hosts found a three-point shot and went 53-48 ahead with Bacon and Walters. Panathinaikos continued his streak and went 62-52 with Walters and closed the third period 67-59 with a two-pointer by Walters.

Thanks to a three-pointer Gentraitis, the Spaniards reduced the score to 71-65, while Panathinaikos answered Parry Lee. Thanks to a two-pointer by the same player, the hosts reached the score of 81:69 with about six minutes left in the game. Clover reached 90-74, while the Spaniards cut to 9 points (90-81) in the last minute of the game. The hosts kept control and went to victory.
