Panathinaikos lost points for the first time in the league, but a stoppage-time goal from Sporar gave them a 1-0 victory over Aris in the ninth Super League match.

Clover continues only with championship victories. Ivan Jovanovic’s team scored 27 points and remains in first place. Alan Pardew’s Mars was disturbed by a shamrock, but left empty-handed. Thessaloniki are left with 13 points.

The hosts approached the match strongly and got their first good moment in the 2nd minute with Serin’s effort ending in the corner. Panathinaikos missed a great opportunity in the 9th minute when Palacios found Ioannidis, but the Greek striker’s attempt went wide.

Three minutes later, Bernard made a great move from outside the penalty area, shot, but Cuesta saved. The Thessalonians made two combined chances in the 15th and 17th minutes with Iturbe in a match that was furious in the first 20 minutes. At 22 Minute Verbic caught the throw, but missed.

In the 79th minute, Verbić headed a header from Bernard’s corner, but his shot went wide. Panathinaikos lost to Aitor in the 81st minute due to a knee injury. The Spaniard, who had just entered the match, was forced to change clothes, while looking rather sickly.

The hosts had another good moment with Sporar on the 88th minute, thin. The Slovenian striker headed Verbic’s corner in the second minute of stoppage time and opened the scoring.

Clover then pulled ahead and took the win.
