Brazilian striker Neymar arrived at a Barcelona court on Monday to appear as a defendant in a fraud and corruption case following his transfer to Barcelona in 2013 from Brazilian club Santos.
The complainant, Brazilian investment firm DIS, said Thursday it is seeking a five-year prison sentence for the player, who is now at Paris Saint-Germain.

Joining Neymar in the dock will be former Barcelona presidents Sandro Rochelle and Josep Maria Bartomeu, as well as Neymar’s father, who allegedly orchestrated the alleged tax evasion operation.
The trial is expected to last seven sessions, according to Spanish state television.
