Ferrari Purosangue: it is no longer available! News from Auto Plus in your smartphone News from Auto Plus in your mailbox

A few days ago, Ferrari lifted the curtain on its first Purosangue SUV. An absolutely unique model in the assortment, which is eagerly awaited and feared by fans of the brand. And not for nothing, a raised car in the catalog of the Maranello company, it may seem like a real heresy! But this one follows the trend, while other luxury manufacturers such as Lamborghini Aston Martin, Bentley or Rolls-Royce also adopted it. Unsurprisingly, Ferrari is doing the same. This is how the new Purosangue was born, with lines that are ultimately quite attractive and a profile that is far from clumsy.

A real success

Under the hood, the latest addition to the brand embodies craftsmanship Atmospheric V12 725 horsepower, which allows it to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. An incredible amount. Therefore, with such a technical passport, it is not surprising that the Prancing Horse SUV is a real success. Despite the indicated price of 390,000 euros, the latter is already selling like hotcakes, although the brand has not yet specified how many copies have already been ordered. The problem is that Ferrari doesn’t want it to exceed 20% of total production, which is equivalent to 3,000 units per year. A number that needs to be reached quickly.

The order will be suspended soon

So much so that Ferrari will have to suspend orders because of the success of its SUV. In an interview with Automotive News, the brand’s director of sales and marketing says that “ we may not be able to meet the demand and have to close the order very soon“. The customers already known to manufacturers will be given priority. The spokesman notes that ” we are committed to our customers and, regardless of demand, we will maintain a volume control that is true to our DNA, our founder’s mission to remain exclusive. And the only way to stay exclusive is to control supply and demand“.
