Two Ukrainian women from Izyum were beaten by a Russian man in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin after allegedly listening to Ukrainian music on the phone, Nice-Matin reports. The Embassy of Ukraine in France condemned the attack, calling it a “disgusting incident”.
Two women, Alina and Olena, were walking on the beach on Sunday evening and listening to Ukrainian music on the phone, when a Russian-speaking man pounced on them and punched them several times.
“He rushed at us. He hit me in the face, I fell to the ground, and he kicked me. Then he hit my mother three times,” Alina told Nice-Matin.
Two women arrived at a hospital in Menton. Elena has a broken nose.
