In a video message on the occasion of the conference of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), which is being held in Hanover, Klitschko called on the European community to continue to support and believe in Ukraine.

The mayor of the Ukrainian capital claimed that Ukraine is fighting on the side of democracy, representing and protecting the whole of Europe, and with all conviction asked for reliable support.

CDU leader Friedrich Merz said that Vitaliy Klitschko wanted to personally attend the conference, but was forced to cancel his trip due to the current situation in the country. Mertz conveyed warm congratulations to Klitschko and confirmed the CDU’s loyalty to Ukraine.
