Meteorologists have issued a code yellow warning of heavy rain and storms for Wednesday and Thursday for 13 counties of Oltenia and Muntenia.
A code yellow warning will be in effect from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the same time Thursday. The counties of Mehedinci, Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Prahova, Dambovitsa, Arges, Gorj, Hunedoara, Alba, Sibiu, Brasov and Buzeu are fully or partially affected.
According to the National Weather Service, these areas will experience torrential rain, power outages, increased winds, and occasional squalls and hail. For short periods of time or due to accumulation, the amount of water will exceed 25-35 l/m2, and separately 40-60 l/m2.
In most regions of the country, periods of increased atmospheric instability will be observed until the end of the week, meteorologists report.
