German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock will visit Bucharest and Constanta on Friday to co-chair the conference of the Support Platform for the Republic of Moldova and meet with Romanian officials.

Annalena Burbok will co-chair the second ministerial conference of the Support Platform for the Republic of Moldova together with her Romanian counterpart Bohdan Aurescu and Chrysula Zaharopoulou, the French State Secretary for Development, Francophone and International Partnerships, the German Embassy in Bucharest reports, citing Agerpres.

Officials will call on participating countries to continue and develop support measures for the Republic of Moldova from the first ministerial conference on April 5 in Berlin, for example on the situation of refugees from Ukraine, border management, energy security and economic sustainability.

In the afternoon, Minister Annalena Berbok will meet with Prime Minister Nicolae Chuke and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bohdan Aurescu. They will discuss topics of bilateral and European policy, consult on the situation in Ukraine, as well as intensifying cooperation in the fields of security policy, economy, climate and energy.

On the first day, the ministers of foreign affairs of the two countries will sign an envelope with a commemorative stamp on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Friendship Treaty. Then there will be a meeting with the president of the Democratic Forum of Germans in Romania.

In the first part of the evening, Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Burbok will go to the port of Constanta, where together with local officials and representatives of German companies, she will discuss the export of grain from Ukraine through the port of Constanta.
