A member of the election commission was detained in Moscow for wearing a T-shirt with the name of opposition leader Oleksii Navalny, who, shortly before his death, called on Russians to come to the elections at 12 o’clock as a sign of protest against the Kremlin leader.

Vyacheslav Golikov, a member of the election commission, was detained in the Basmanny district of Moscow wearing a T-shirt with the inscription “Navalny”, reports the human rights group “OVD-Info”, writes The Moscow Times.

Yury Kembel, vice president of the commission, reported him to the police.

According to an observer at the same precinct, Golikov was asked to change his clothes. He agreed, but still held back. It is currently unknown why he was charged.

At the polling station in the city of Ufa, a man was detained who tried to throw a photo of Navalny into the ballot box.
