Governor Dmytro Azarov said in a statement published on Telegram that there was a fire at the Syzran refinery in the Volga region, but the attack on the Novokubyshev refinery was prevented.
Unverified images posted online showed what appeared to be a large fire at the Syzran Oil Refinery, with emergency services on the scene.
