Kyiv often does not comment on alleged attacks on Russian soil.
According to the governor, the cause of the fire was a drone attack. No loss was recorded. The Oryol region is located in the west of Russia, approximately 220 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, writes the Kyiv publication.
The authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod region announced on Tuesday morning that several drones had struck the industrial district of Kstovo, targeting an oil refinery. A fire broke out at one of the oil refining enterprises.

Lukoil, Russia’s second-largest oil company, confirmed to state news agency RIA Novosti that operations at the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez processing unit were temporarily suspended “due to an incident.”
The Nizhny Novgorod Region is located approximately 400 kilometers east of the Russian capital.
Moscow claims that dozens of Ukrainian drones were shot down by air defense systems
Air defense systems shot down a total of 25 drones launched by Ukraine over several Russian regions, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Reuters.
It is not yet clear whether all the drones were destroyed, the British agency notes.
The governor of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said on Tuesday that due to an alleged drone attack on the region, seven settlements were left without electricity.
Kyiv Independent notes that it was unable to verify any of the claims of the Russian authorities.
The Belgorod region of Russia borders the Sumy, Kharkiv and Luhansk regions of Ukraine and is often used for attacks on Ukraine.
Moscow is under attack
Russian air defense systems destroyed a drone launched by Ukraine that was flying towards Moscow, the mayor of the city, Serhiy Sobanin, said on Tuesday, Reuters reports.
In Telegram, Sobyanin reported that there were no casualties or damage at the site of the crash of the drone wreckage in the Ramensky district.
Recently, drone attacks on oil refineries and terminals in Russia have become more frequent.
