The head of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of Russia, Sergey Naryshkin, on Monday accused the United States of pursuing a policy of “total vassalage” towards Ukraine and forming a “colonial administration” in Kyiv, TASS reports.

“As part of the policy of total vassalization of Ukraine, the USA has begun to form an essentially colonial administration in this country,” Naryshkin said in a statement published by the SVR press service.

“According to Washington’s plan, [administraČ›ia] it will consist of Western-educated Ukrainians who have sworn allegiance to American interests,” the head of Russian intelligence also claims, also asserting that the United States has asked President Volodymyr Zelensky to “remove from leadership positions in the government under one pretext or another, people , who have lost confidence in the White House.”

“The blacklist includes dozens of high-ranking officials of Ukraine from Zelenskyi’s team. It was proved to him that otherwise Washington would publish a “deadly” corruption dossier against representatives of his entourage,” says Naryshkin.

The head of SVR claims that Zelensky understood that “the Americans have incriminating evidence capable of destroying him as president” and that “under these conditions, he will continue to dance to the tune of his American masters.”

According to the director of the SVR, the US leadership is “confidently strengthening Kyiv’s vassal dependence on Washington.”

“American advisers are already represented in all key departments of the Ukrainian government, just as the Anglo-Saxons of the British Empire sent “political agents” to their colonies to effectively manage and control the activities of local authorities,” he noted.

The head of Russian intelligence compiled a list of officials whom the US would like to lead Ukraine

“During Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s visit to the United States in December 2023, he received urgent recommendations regarding personnel changes in the executive authorities of Ukraine,” the Russian official continued his accusations.

He claims that the USA is nominating Ukraine’s ambassador to Washington, Oksana Markarova, who studied at Indiana University in Bloomington, to the post of prime minister.

“The Minister of Finance is proposed to appoint the deputy head of the Ministry of Finance Oleksandr Kava, who studied at Harvard. The current deputy head of the Ministry of Economy, who is a graduate of the National Institute of Public Administration in Poland, has been recommended for the position of Minister of Economy,” Serhii Naryshkin said.

Known for making numerous statements that sound more like a propagandist than a senior intelligence official, Naryshkin also said last December that Ukraine would become a “second Vietnam” for the United States.

Some analysts put his comments down to him trying to stay in the Kremlin’s favor after the SVR predicted before the invasion that Ukraine would quickly succumb to a Russian attack, leaving Moscow’s armed forces with enough supplies and fuel to last only a few days. .

However, on March 16, 2022, less than a week after the start of the war, Naryshkin stated that the decision to invade Ukraine was based on an “extremely accurate” and “realistic” assessment.
