On Sunday, on the eve of the start of the annual meeting in the Swiss Alps of leaders of the political, business and financial world, a meeting dedicated to Ukraine will be held in Davos, which will be attended by security advisers and senior officials. high-ranking officials from about 70 countries, reports DPA and Agerpres.

This will be the fourth meeting regarding Zelensky’s so-called “peace formula”.

In this regard, the Ukrainian government seeks to advance its peace plan, which provides for the withdrawal of all Russian troops from the occupied territories of Ukraine, including the Crimean peninsula, along with guarantees for the future security of Ukraine.

In addition, Russian leaders will be held accountable for their role in the invasion.

Russia, which rejects the plan, was not invited to previous similar meetings.

The conference mainly serves to support the cohesion of Ukraine’s allies. The last such meeting took place in October in Malta.

This year’s Davos forum aims to ‘restore trust’

The American delegation in Davos will be led by Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, which corresponds to the more geopolitical than economic nature of this edition of the forum.

The organizers of the forum emphasized that during it, from January 15 to 19, such topical topics as challenges in the fight against climate change or challenges arising from the accelerated development of new technologies, for example, related to artificial intelligence, will be discussed.

The President of the World Economic Forum noted that the main topic of the debate will be cooperation in matters of peace and security. “In a world where the number of refugees has increased from 40 to 110 million and cyber attacks have quadrupled, we need to gather in Davos people who can find opportunities to work together in a world with increasing challenges,” Borge Brende summed up.
