In the context of the approach of the so-called presidential “elections” in Russia from March 2024, HotNews.ro wanted to see what requests and questions ordinary citizens send to the president, and which are published on the Kremlin’s website.
According to the data on the website of the presidential administration, out of the total number of more than 60,000 appeals sent to Putin, the majority, more than 2,270, concern the salaries of military personnel working under contract.
The second problem that worries citizens of Russia, with more than 1,930 appeals, concerns salary increases in the budget apparatus.
Next – a category of questions, approximately 1,530 appeals, which relate to the completion of military service, the extension of military contracts, as well as discharge from military service.
Nearly 1,180 requests in October were about how long service members should serve and how and when they can take leave while serving in the military.
Almost a thousand questions addressed to the President of Russia related to the transfer of pensions and about the same number – about military insurance. 840 questions were from people asking for information about Russian soldiers captured in the war in Ukraine. And that’s all – about payments for participation in hostilities.
On the 9th place was placed the issue of medical care for the military, and on the 10th place – about the calculation of pensions in general. If compared with the data of April 2022, the number of questions about those who satisfy the term service increased 25 times in October, and in general, since the beginning of the war, the Putin administration has received more than 25 thousand messages on this topic.
In addition, in October 2023, compared to April last year, the number of requests for missing persons increased 13 times. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian citizens have sent more than 7,000 letters to the president about prisoners of war and missing persons.
At the same time, in October 2023, in addition to questions about the military, the most questions to Putin included complaints about the amount of salaries in the budget sector, heat supply interruptions, communal and household problems, and yet another increase in pensions.
