A video released in March shows Olga Golikova, pastor of Light of Christ Church, speaking to the music of others on stage as people walk in circles with Russian and Israeli flags, flags with the slogan “Russia for Christ” and more. showed military equipment and nuclear mushroom clouds.

“Lord, we are occupying this runway, we are taking to the sky with your ballistic missiles. We are going up there, Lord, with supersonic planes to bring the good news that Russia is for Christ!” Golikova says in the video.

Many evangelical Christians believe that with the increase of evil in the world, the end times are approaching, and with them, in various variations, believers will ascend to Heaven and Christ will return to rule the Earth.

Influential American evangelist Pat Robertson said in March 2022 that Russian President Vladimir Putin was “forced by God” to invade Ukraine to fulfill this Armageddon prophecy.

The Church “Light of Christ” was founded by an American evangelist in 1993. Golikova has an English-language YouTube channel, in addition to the Russian one, to which 113,000 people subscribe.

In her Sunday sermon, Golikova thanked people near her church for watching the video. She explained that many years ago God put the phrase “Russia for Christ” in her heart.

She added that God has a “special purpose” for Russia, adding: “All the countries that might think our country is some kind of monster. Russia will be a great boon for these countries.”
