“Russia controls the sky,” Zelenskyi said, switching from Ukrainian to English, in an interview with American television company NBC on Sunday. Zelenskyi repeated that his main request is better defense systems.

“Give me an opportunity to compare our strength with Russia’s in the sky,” he added, indirectly repeating his demand for Western fighter jets.

Ukraine still needs drones and anti-drone weapons. As soon as balance is established in the sky, Ukrainian troops on the ground will be able to advance, Zelensky emphasized.

The President of Ukraine stated that his soldiers cannot be thrown into battle, as Russia does with its soldiers. “They (Russians) treat their soldiers like cannon fodder,” Zelenskyi said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed his position that there cannot be any negotiations with Russia at the moment. “We do not want to conduct any dialogue with terrorists,” he stressed.

“Their words mean nothing. nothing. We can’t trust terrorists, because terrorists always come back… They only want to destroy and kill us all,” Zelenskyy said.

Ukraine continues its fight against the forces of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Zelenskyi said. “We do not want to give our freedom to this pathetic terrorist that is Putin,” Zelensky said.
