The Military Intelligence of Ukraine announced that units of the Special Operations Forces again landed on the territory of the occupied Crimean Peninsula and attacked the Russians, and after completing the task they retreated, Ukrainian Pravda reports.
- “Stugna” and “Brotherhood” special-purpose units as part of the special unit of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, led by Timur, landed on the territory of the Crimean Peninsula and set fire to the Moscow occupiers! Crimea will be Ukrainian! Glory to Ukraine!”, Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Military Intelligence Service of Ukraine, said in a comment to “Ukrainian Pravda”.
The intelligence service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published a video showing several boats heading for the shore, without specifying when the landing took place.
Yusov also stated that after completing the task, causing losses to the Russians, the special forces group retreated, albeit with some losses.
- “It was a struggle against the Russian occupiers; many killed and wounded among the personnel of the invasion. Unfortunately, there are also losses among the Ukrainian defenders, although they are not as many as among the Russians. The special operation to liberate Crimea continues. We appeal to all residents of the peninsula to wait and help the Defense Forces in every possible way to liberate Ukrainian territory,” he said.
According to Ukrainian statements, the special operation in Crimea began in August.
In an August interview, the head of the Military Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said that “now we have the opportunity to strike any part of the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea – we can reach the enemy absolutely anywhere.”
Budanov told Radio Free Europe that “there are many options for the liberation of Crimea, but it is impossible without military action.”
