Marder armored vehicles sent by Germany
Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles were handed over by Germany back in 2022, today it is known that Ukrainian forces received 40 such units. In total, Germany promises to supply up to 100 such armored vehicles.
The Schützenpanzer Marder 1 is a German tracked infantry fighting vehicle designed for use by West German panzergrenadier motorized infantry units. It has been used by the German army as a main combat vehicle since the 1970s and up to the present. Since 2010, Marder cars have been replaced by much newer and more modern Puma models.
The machines are armored on a track, weighing about 30 tons and equipped with a 20-mm gun.
