
Ukraine on Monday carried out a drone attack on the Russian-controlled city of Energodar near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the head of the Russian state nuclear corporation said on Tuesday, according to the Russian news agency RIA.
The head of Rosatom, Oleksiy Likhachev, said that six drones were launched at Energodar, and all of them were destroyed.
The city is located in the southeastern territory of Ukraine occupied by Russia, which introduced tens of thousands of troops into Ukraine more than 18 months ago. The nearby Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe, is also in Russian hands.
Later on Tuesday, the Military Intelligence Service (MIS) of Ukraine released footage of the drone attacks, saying that Ukrainian special forces and members of the Energodar resistance “greeted the occupiers with a ‘holiday'” – a reference to Labor Day. migration service of Russia.

The GUR reported that a building in Energodar, where Russian passports are now issued, and two places where up to 12 Russian officers were stationed were hit. According to the quoted source, the radio communication point was “destroyed”.
