TV presenter Volodymyr Solovyov, who is considered a favorite propagandist of President Vladimir Putin, and MP Andriy Gurulyov, who seems to be a regular guest on some Russian TV shows, proposed to launch tactical nuclear bombs on Robotin, a city in southern Ukraine that was recently liberated by Kyiv forces.

“That’s right! With standard tactical nukes. And don’t worry, because it’s our asset! It’s our weapon!” – exclaimed State Duma deputy from Vladimir Putin’s “United Russia” Gurulyov.

“By the way, this is not the first time I have heard this proposal. In other words, Robotîne is now a really perfect place, really perfect for the use of tactical nuclear weapons,” Soloviev interjects.

“Ideal. They (not the Ukrainian military) all gathered there in a heap! Just perfect! And at the same time, their offensive group will be turned into smoke!” – answers Gurulyov, who before entering politics was an officer of the Russian armed forces, who at one time held the position of deputy commander of the Southern Military District.

Gurulyov further states that after the use of tactical nuclear weapons on Robotin, Russian forces will be in an “ideal” position, as the Ukrainian army will be left without reserves on the country’s southern front. His comment was made in the context of the emergence of information that the Russian army was forced to throw its last reserves into battle on this part of the front.

“Even with the forces we have, we are quite capable of moving forward [apoi] with great success and liberate the Zaporizhzhia region and, perhaps, even the Dnipropetrovsk region, thereby threatening the same groups of forces fighting near Donetsk with encirclement and disorganization,” Gurulyov continues his assumptions.

“Yes, yes! And the most important thing is that it saves the lives of our soldiers and solves all our problems,” Volodymyr Solovyov interrupts him.

Russian propagandists say that people should not worry about the use of tactical nuclear weapons

“100%”, the former Russian commander assures, and then criticizes those who complain that the use of tactical nuclear weapons will provoke “a kind of nuclear Armageddon”.

“When people say that everything will be infected and everyone will die – nothing will happen,” Gurulyov claims, adding that the perimeter of the explosion will be very clear and that Russia has “smart and competent” military specialists.

“This belongs to our military science!” he assures.

The Ukrainian army announced on Monday that it had completely liberated the village of Robotyne after its forces entered it on August 22.

Military analysts note that the liberation of this city in the Zaporizhzhia region means that the Ukrainian troops managed to break through the first line of multi-layered defense built by the Russian army.

But the city of Melitopol, which is considered the main target of Ukraine’s offensive this summer, is more than 70 kilometers to the south.
