Ukrinform reports that intelligence units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (GUR), headed by General Kyrylo Budanov, were transferred to the territory of Crimea as part of a special operation in cooperation with the naval forces.

Andriy Yusov, the spokesman of the State Government, announced this.

“As part of the special operation, personnel were landed on the territory of the peninsula. The Main Directorate of Intelligence in cooperation with the Navy conducted a special operation, the goal was achieved, there were no casualties among the personnel,” he said.

“The special operation is ongoing, we are not disclosing all the details, there are losses both among the enemy’s personnel and among its equipment and machinery. Information on the number of victims is being clarified,” Yusov said.

Telegram channel “Krym.Realii” reports that explosions were heard in Crimea near the village of Mayak in the area of ​​Cape Tarkhankut. It was a battle involving aviation.

“From 5 o’clock in the morning, explosions were heard near the village of Mayak on Cape Tarkhankut, local sources informed us. In addition, our sources in the Ukrainian special services confirmed that a battle with boats and aircraft took place in this area. The details are still being clarified,” says the message published by the administrators of this Telegram channel dedicated to Crimea.
