President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that his country is preparing “strong things” to strengthen the state and soldiers. “We are doing everything so that on the eve of the Independence Day of our country, we can say that Ukraine has taken another step towards the circle of the world’s most powerful states,” he said, according to News.ro.
“We are preparing strong things for Ukraine, strengthening our state, our soldiers. Today and this week in general is the main task. Weapons for our soldiers. New opportunities for our defense. New support packages from our partners. We are doing everything so that on the eve of our country’s Independence Day, we can say that Ukraine has taken another step towards the circle of the world’s most powerful states,” Zelenskyy said in a message sent on Friday evening.
He added that there are important diplomatic successes this week.
“G7 Declaration on Security Guarantees for Ukraine: 18 states have joined today. Formula of peace: 63 diplomatic missions are already working on the implementation of the points of the Formula. It is imperative that the Peace Formula gradually unites the majority of the world based on our respect for international law and the UN Charter. European Union: we are doing everything possible so that Ukraine is ready to start accession negotiations this year,” said the Ukrainian president.
He noted that the next week will be a time of important events for Ukraine.
“We will not lose a single day of preparation. We will not miss any result for Ukraine. We work every day, every day we add strength to Ukraine,” he concluded.
