“The Tavrian direction,” wrote in Telegram the commander of Ukrainian troops in the south, General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, referring to the southern front.

“There are liberated territories. Defense forces are operating,” he said, without specifying where and when the attacks were made.

Separately, the General Staff of the Armed Forces reported that it was partially successful in the Robotyn district of the Zaporizhzhia region.

He stated that 33 battles had taken place and noted that the Armed Forces continued their offensive in the direction of Melitopol and Berdyansk.

The official statements came after the Institute for the Study of War said on Friday evening that Ukrainian forces had made significant tactical progress in the western Zaporozhye region amid continued counteroffensive operations.

Geolocation images released on Friday confirmed that Ukrainian forces have reached the northern outskirts of the town of Robotyne (10 km south of Orichov) in western Zaporizhzhya Oblast, although the stability and extent of these positions are currently unknown.

Ukrainian forces have been conducting regular ground attacks on Robotyn for weeks as part of their operations to degrade Russian defenses.

The ability of Ukrainian forces to advance to the outskirts of Robotyn, which Russian forces have devoted considerable effort, time and resources to defending, remains significant, even if Ukrainian successes are currently limited.
