At least three drones were intercepted in the sky over the Moscow region, including two just 30 km southwest of the Kremlin, Russian news agencies reported. A drone was discovered in the neighboring Kaluga region.
Landings and take-offs at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport were restricted for several hours on Tuesday morning before normal operations resumed after 8am. Several flights were diverted to other airports.
“The attempt of the Kyiv regime to attack the territory where civilian infrastructure is located, including the airport, which also receives foreign flights, is another act of terrorism,” said the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova.
“The international community should realize that the United States, Great Britain, and France – permanent members of the UN Security Council – finance the terrorist regime,” she said.
At the time of this news, Kyiv did not react. Ukraine almost never claims responsibility for attacks inside Russia or on Russian-controlled territory in Ukraine.
