The Legion “Freedom of Russia” and the Russian volunteer corps carried out numerous raids on Belgorod, even capturing Russian soldiers. Now the political wing of the FRL has stated that it plans to forcefully demilitarize the Russian border in an interview with the Kyiv Post.

Representative Oleksiy Baranovskyi said that the group penetrated 10 km into Russian territory and plans to advance at least 40 km so that tanks and Grad missiles could not hit the territory of Ukraine, Sky News cites.

If Ukraine frees Crimea, the FRL plans to use the chaos to overthrow the Kremlin: “Unfortunately, the Russian people created Putin, and we must finish him off. No one will do this work for us.”

He told the Kyiv Post that a group of “military rebels” aims to seize power before the transition to a democratic state.

“Compared to post-Hitler Germany, where the first elections were held four years after the fall of the Reich, we expect to implement this plan in two years,” Baranovsky told the Kyiv Post.
