Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, described the agreement reached yesterday between EU interior ministers as “unacceptable”. For immigration policy reformafter difficult negotiations.

“Brussels is abusing its power. They want to “relocate” immigrants to Hungary by force. This is unacceptable,” Hungarian government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs tweeted.

The reform provides for the creation of a system of solidarity between the Member States of the European Union in the resettlement of refugees.

Member States undertake to accept a number of asylum seekers arriving in EU countries experiencing migratory pressure, or otherwise provide financial assistance. The financial compensation provided is 20,000 euros for each asylum seeker who has not been relocated.
