His cabin crew Australian state carrier, Kantas, can now, for the first time in the company’s century of operation, choose flat shoes instead of heels, long hair instead of high hairstyles, make up or not make up regardless of gender.

This “style and care” change comes in response to persistent and long-standing complaints from aircrew staff about in-flight comfort and is part of workplace revamps and changing customer expectations, Qantas announced.

The uniforms of the companies have not changed, however, the racial designations of “male” and “female” uniforms have been effectively abolished.

Flight attendants, who were required to wear heels on long-haul flights, demanded that the policy be changed in favor of more comfortable and practical shoes, a spokesman for the company said.

Respectively, some male flight attendants expressed a desire to use concealer and makeup.which has been impossible until now.

“These changes will make our uniforms more comfortable and practical to wear,” the spokeswoman said.

In addition, all employees will now be able to wear, in addition to makeup, the same jewelry, such as watches and diamond earrings.
