Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi on Monday thanked his troops for territorial gains they claim near the devastated eastern city of Bakhmut, mocking the “hysterical” reaction of Moscow, which claims to have repelled large-scale attacks, AFP reported.
“We see how hysterically Russia reacts to all the progress we are making in this sector, to all the positions we are gaining. The enemy knows that Ukraine will win,” Zelenskyy said in a video message.
The Ukrainian army is carrying out several “offensive actions” in the area of the city of Bakhmut occupied by Russian troops, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Malyar reported on her Telegram channel.
Malyar noted that the Ukrainian armed forces have occupied several extremely important strategic points, and Russian troops are holding the defense in the Bakhmut area. (Agerpress)
