Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in his speech on Sunday evening that the time will come when the children of the world will be protected from “such evil as Russian evil” and aggression.

• “Russian terror took the lives of hundreds of our children and since February 24, during the war, we know for sure that 485 children were killed. This is a number that we can officially confirm, knowing the details of each child. Unfortunately, the real number is higher. How many people, how many children are buried in the occupied territory – in the graves of this war, this aggression. And how many more are under the ruins of Ukrainian cities and villages burned by Russia,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said on Sunday evening, News.ro reports.

“We have to bring them all back”

• “Unfortunately, we still do not have complete information about the hundreds of thousands of children who were deported to Russia. To date, 371 children have been returned to Ukraine. At the same time, we know for sure about at least 19,505 deported Ukrainian children, and this is only a fraction of the number of our little Ukrainians who are still in the hands of the enemy. We must return them all,” he added.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that in Ukraine it is a day of commemoration of children who died as a result of Russian aggression.

• “Since 2014. Children who would be alive if a bunch of bandits from the Kremlin, Moscow did not consider themselves leaders who have the right to decide the fate of nations. Each of these thugs will be convicted. I have no doubts. All necessary legal institutions are working for this. The time will come when the children of the Earth – in Ukraine and elsewhere – will be protected from such evil as Russian evil and from such aggression,” the Kyiv leader also said.

Zelenskyi also said that he participated in a special meeting on sanctions on Sunday.

• “We analyzed in detail how Russia circumvents sanctions and who helps it. Different countries, different companies, without which Russia would not be able to produce terrorist weapons, including rockets. Unfortunately, the terrorist state manages to use the world’s technologies through a network of suppliers and manages to circumvent international sanctions regimes. We see every avenue of evasion of existing sanctions, every country, territory or jurisdiction whose citizens Russia is using to perpetuate terror. And we must close all these areas – together with our partners – to ensure that Russian missiles and weapons do not contain products of the free world. Necessary steps will be taken,” he said.
