Natural disasters, high temperatures, crop destruction, rising sea levels are some of the impacts of climate change. The 216 million climate migrants will come mainly from northern Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, as well as from the Southeast Asia-Pacific region. The Mediterranean (Greece, Italy, Spain) will face 105 million climate migrants in the coming years. More effective policies are needed to combat this phenomenon.

Running hunger for two years

After a decade of steady decline, global hunger is on the rise again. The number of undernourished people increased by more than 150 million between 2019 and 2021, largely due to conflict, climate change, economic shocks and the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of the world’s undernourished people live in Asia (425 million) and Africa (278 million).Climate Crisis and Energy: Confronting Climate Migration-1
