
German authorities arrest seven terrorist suspects Islamic state in the context of the study on the financing of terrorismprosecutors said today.
At the same time, the authorities 19 raids on the lands of Baden-Württemberg, Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinateas well as real estate in the Netherlands, the federal prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
The detainees are suspected of they belong to an international network that collects financial donations for the Islamic State in Syria through platformsto which Telegram belongs, and then transfer these donations to the organization or its intermediaries.
At least Prosecutors said 65,000 euros were transferred in this way, adding that the money was used to support Islamic State members imprisoned in Syria.in some cases allowing them to escape from prisons.
The seven suspects will face trial today and tomorrow, Thursday, which will decide whether they remain in temporary detention.
