As a result of the shelling, five people were killed and 19 others were injured. Ukrainian armed forces against the village of Karpaty, Luhansk region, according to the pro-Russian authorities.

Both sides deny deliberate targeting of civilians in an armed conflict that erupted when the Russian military invaded Ukraine more than fifteen months ago.
