US President Joe Biden said on Sunday that relations between the US and China would see a “thaw” very soon after Washington shot down an alleged Chinese spy balloon this year, France-Presse and Agerpres reported.
The balloon was shot down and everything changed in terms of dialogue. I think you’re going to see the beginning of a thaw very soon,” Joe Biden told reporters at the end of the G7 summit in Hiroshima.
At the same time, after meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the meeting, Biden assured that Russian President Volodymyr Putin will not destroy “our determination” to support Ukraine.
Joe Biden said that he assured Volodymyr Zelensky that the support of Washington and other supporters of Kyiv “will not weaken” in the face of the war unleashed by Russia in Ukraine.
“Putin will not destroy our resolve, as he thought he had the power to do so,” he added.
