As part of the #ChargeSafe campaign, the London Fire Brigade released footage of an electric scooter on fire in a man’s kitchen in Brent.
The owner of the scooter, security guard Dale Williams, 37, said he was “grateful for life” and spent eight hours in the hospital due to smoke inhalation.
A security guard said he “cheated death” after his electric scooter caught fire while he was charging it in the kitchen.
