Kyiv’s civil-military administration announced on Saturday that it had repelled a new Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian capital targeted at night, but that debris fell on Kyiv without causing casualties, France Presse reported.
“Last night, the aggressor carried out a new massive shelling from drones,” Serhii Popko, the head of the Military-Civil Administration of Kyiv, wrote on the Telegram channel.
“All detected aerial targets were shot down by the city’s air defense forces,” he assured, adding that, according to preliminary information, they were Shahed-type drones.
“Kyiv was not affected at all!” – he congratulated, adding that debris fell on the capital, in particular, a fire broke out on the roof of a residential building in the Dnipro district, which has already been extinguished. Popko also said.
The Ukrainian army clarified that it is about 20 Shahed drones:
