“Last night, the aggressor carried out a new massive shelling from drones,” Serhii Popko, the head of the Military-Civil Administration of Kyiv, wrote on the Telegram channel.

“All detected aerial targets were shot down by the city’s air defense forces,” he assured, adding that, according to preliminary information, they were Shahed-type drones.

“Kyiv was not affected at all!” – he congratulated, adding that debris fell on the capital, in particular, a fire broke out on the roof of a residential building in the Dnipro district, which has already been extinguished. Popko also said.

The Ukrainian army clarified that it is about 20 Shahed drones:

At 0.45 local time (21.45 GMT Friday), the Ukrainian military reported that the Shahed drones were heading towards the Kyiv region.

Authorities reported explosions there, as well as in Chernihiv (center-north) and Mariupol (southeast) regions.

Air defense systems remain active in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, the Ukrainian military reports. (Agerpress)
