Ukraine rejects any peaceful mediation that leads to territorial losses, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said today from Lisbon.
“No peace plan or initiative, no mediation should lead to the loss of Ukrainian territory,” he said at the end of the meeting with his Portuguese counterpart.
“No initiative, no mediation should be based on the fact that the conflict should be frozen, and there you can see…” Kuleba added.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky today met with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah and thanked him for supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty.
As of March 2022, a week after the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the de facto leader of the Gulf monarchy called for a “political solution” to the conflict and offered to mediate in a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Any mediation should lead to the full restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stressed today.
Kuleba went to Lisbon for a Bilderberg meeting.
