The head of Russian diplomacy recalled that the United States “refused the then Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak”, “refused the Afghan leadership, which they relied on during the 20-year occupation of this country, and I hope that modern politicians will pay attention to history and how relations with a ruler who wants to impose himself in this capacity on everyone,” Mr. Lavrov said, referring to the Western intervention in Afghanistan as an “occupation.”

He did not rule out that the Ukrainian crisis could end in a similar way. “Political scientists write a lot about this. They predict that all this will continue for as long as the Americans need it. These people will be in power as long as they are needed,” the Russian Foreign Minister said, referring, of course, to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Mr. Lavrov described French President Emmanuel Macron as unable to respond to American pressure: “Macron obviously feels helpless when he talks about the strategic autonomy of the European Union for several years. He feels like a vassal of the United States. It’s uncomfortable for him. He can’t do it,” he said.

However, the Russian minister was far more excited when he mentioned the German government about Zelenskiy’s recent visit to Berlin.

“Looking at the actions of the children of the German army and the SS who now run Germany, although I fully support the principle that children are not responsible for their parents and grandparents, it becomes clear that the current German leadership has inherited largely Nazi genes,” – he said.

According to the minister, the German leadership, stating that Ukraine sheds blood for European values, “is associated with the neo-Nazi regime,” as Moscow characterizes the elected government in Kyiv.
