
President of Russia Vladimir Putin told members of the Russian Security Council today that in today’s online meeting they should discuss the benefits of cooperation between the former Soviet republics.
“We and the republics of the post-Soviet space have a whole range of important competitive advantagesThis Putin said during a meeting attended by senior officials of his government, excerpts from which were broadcast on television.
“Let’s talk about it today, about what else we can and should do to achieve better results in our joint efforts.”
Ever since Russia invaded Ukraine Over the past year, Moscow’s former Soviet neighbors have become vital economic partners as Russia battles Western-imposed trade sanctions.
