Operational issues and flight delays occurred this afternoon at airport Gatwick, as the London airport was forced to close the runway for almost an hour, according to Sky News and the BBC.
The reason was “suspicious” drone who flew in the area.
An airport spokesman said, according to the BBC and Sky News, flights were temporarily suspended shortly before 3:45 pm Greek time, but resumed about 50 minutes later.
According to himThe 12 arriving aircraft were diverted to other airports at the time of the incident, but many are expected to land at Gatwick later today.
