According to Der Spiegel, this package will be announced in parallel with the presentation of the Charlemagne Award to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Aachen on Sunday, as a symbol of Berlin’s solidarity with Kyiv.

There is speculation that the Ukrainian president may attend the event after German police announced increased security measures in the area throughout Sunday.

As “Ukrainian Pravda” reports, there is no official confirmation, but there is information that Zelensky will arrive in Italy on Saturday.

The German press has already reported that Zelenskyi will go to Germany for the first time since the beginning of the war at the invitation of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz was supposed to officially receive Zelensky the next day, but the Kyiv leader allegedly canceled his visit due to a leak.
