“Just like at the front, the aggressor’s plans failed,” Serhiy Popko, head of the military administration of the city of Kyiv, said on the Telegram channel.

Tuesday’s attack – the fifth since May – came a day after Russia launched its largest-ever swarm of drones in a new air campaign launched 10 days ago after a lull in early March.

It also falls on Victory Day in Russia, one of the most important public holidays marking the defeat of Nazi Germany in 1945.

“(They’re) trying to kill as many civilians as possible – this day,” Popko said.

He specified that, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties as a result of the cruise missile attack from the Caspian Sea region.

Debris fell on a house in the Holosiivskyi district in the southwest of Kyiv, the mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko reported on his Telegram channel, adding that there were no casualties or significant damage.

On the road in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the center of Kyiv, debris was found, which often becomes shelling.

“Kyiv has risen and will rise again in the future!” Popko declared.
