The former Italian prime minister and current leader of the Five Star movement said that “when someone assumes public responsibilities and makes difficult decisions in difficult times for the country, as happened with the coronavirus pandemic, he cannot satisfy everyone.”
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, League Secretary and Infrastructure Minister Matteo Salvini and centre-left Democratic Party Secretary Ellie Schlein expressed their solidarity with Conte.
