Erdogan’s anger at the Economist: We won’t let them guide the national will

On this occasion, the President of Turkey made an angry statement: “We will not allow our domestic policy and national will to be directed to the covers of magazines, which constitute the operational mechanism of world powers,” he said, among other things, typically Erdogan.

Altun: Dirty propaganda, asymmetric psychological operations

Fahrettin Altun, director of public relations for the Turkish president, opened fire, spreading the attack to other Western media as well.

In his post, Altun, citing various headlines, specifically mentions:

“We deplore the pathological Turkish Western media opposition and hostility towards Erdogan in the run-up to the May 14 elections and are surprised to see reports directed against the will of our people.

As our country frees itself from the shackles, we notice that the intensity of Western attacks is increasing. Because our president, Mr. Recep Tayyip Ernogan, puts the interests of our people first and rejects what is imposed, they ignore the principle of impartiality and turn to impressing.

We would like to remind you that our nation, whose priority is Turkey, knows very well where to stand. He knows intimately those involved in dirty propaganda and those involved in asymmetric psychological operations. And our nation on May 14 is getting ready to smash the headlines, games directed at its will, guided by our principles and values.

We sincerely believe that our beloved people, who know these games, do not forget the scriptwriters and know the works, will stand on the side of the state and our President, just like yesterday.

If there are those who dream of stopping the rise of Turkey, we advise them to give up this dream. This beloved people has not satisfied the enemies of Turkey and will not satisfy!”
