The Russian security services (FSB) announced today that they have dismantled the Ukrainian “terrorist” network in the annexed Crimeaagainst the backdrop of an increase in attacks and acts of “sabotage” in the days before major military celebrations on May 9 in Russia.
In my ad, Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation reports the arrest of seven people associated with Ukrainian intelligence, according to the state news agency TASS.
According to the FSB, they prevented attacks on the pro-Russian governor of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, and other officials.
The agency said in a statement that explosives similar to those used in attacks on railroad tracks in February have been seized.
As Aksyonov himself said in a statement, this network is behind both alleged incidents.
Without providing further evidence, Aksyonov said there was no doubt that the Ukrainian government was behind it.
