A day after the deadly missile strikes Russian forces in his various cities Ukrainiancountry president Vladimir Zelensky he accused Russian soldiers and their commanders of war crimes.
“Not only commanders, but all of you, you are all terrorists and murderers, and you all must be punished,” Mr. Zelensky said in his speech last Saturday evening. He insisted that every pilot and rocket launcher operator, every technician who maintains aircraft and ships for Russian “terrorism” is involved in war crimes.
The head of the Ukrainian state spoke out a day after the death in the city of Uman, among other 23 people, including six minors, he said.
According to Mr. Zelensky, Russia must not only be weakened in the war, but held accountable for war crimes. He again advocated the creation of a special international tribunal to try Russian war criminals, similar to the one that tried Nazi war criminals at Nuremberg.
Mr. Zelensky’s frequent references to Nuremberg are not accidental. Among the goals of the “special military operation” carried out by the Kremlin 14 months ago was the “denazization” of Ukraine.
