A rocket exploded on Saturday night in the yard of a house in the village of Kotlyari in northeastern Ukraine, destroying two houses and damaging ten others. According to local residents, no one was killed or injured, but the material damage is very large, the correspondent of Agerpres reports.

The owner of the house on whose yard the S-300 rocket fell, Viktor Pavlovich, was reading a book at the time, and the explosion threw him out of his chair and onto the floor. And he, and his son, and his wife, and the child escaped alive.

– Grandpa, are you alive?

“At 10:00 in the evening I was standing in front of the window and reading a book. I read “12 Chairs” and thought: “Why am I sitting in front of the window? If, God forbid, a rocket falls…”. I just thought about it and ten minutes later I heard a loud explosion, no joke. The window falls on me, I break out of the chair and fall to the floor. The light went out. I wanted to leave the house, but all the doors were under my feet. I fell, hit my knee and suddenly thought about my family – “Where is my family?”. I was in the house with my grandson and I hear him shouting: “Grandpa, are you alive?”, I answer: “I am alive.” I told him to run quickly to his parents, who also escaped alive,” the 85-year-old told Agerpres.

There were also four cars in the yard that were completely destroyed.

“With these missile launches, the Russians are only instilling fear and panic in people,” said the old man’s son.

On Saturday evening, the Russian army fired five rockets at the Kharkiv region. One of them exploded in the air over a vegetable cannery, damaging greenhouses and several buildings.

Kharkiv, located on the border with Russia, is the second largest city in Ukraine after Kyiv.
