Evgeny Prigozhin, the leader of Wagner’s group of Russian mercenaries, said that the son of Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov served as an artilleryman in his private militia, News.ro reported with reference to CNN.

“Of all my acquaintances – I will say this for the first time – one person, Dmytro Sergeyevich Peskov, who at one time had the reputation of a complete liberal… His son, who lived for some time in America, if I am not mistaken, or in England, he came and asked , so that he was taken as a simple gunner. And he did a great job as a simple gunner, knee deep in mud and shit, with the Hurricane (reactive salvo fire system). Few people know about him,” Prigozhin said in a video interview with RIA FAN military correspondent Oleksandr Simonov.

Prigozhin did not name the shooter, but Russian mass media reported that Prigozhin was talking about Dmytro Peskov’s son Mykola Peskov. Prigozhin also did not specify the time period in question and whether Peskov’s son served on Wagner in Ukraine.

But Chief Wagner has a reputation for making unsubstantiated claims, often using sarcasm.

CNN reports that it contacted Dmitry Peskov for comment, but has not yet received a response.
