Google Maps want to make life easier for cyclists and hikers in vast national parks and have introduced new ways to navigate trails and bike trails in the US.
The update was introduced ahead of National Park Week and includes new features such as adding photo icons to maps. Trail details were included with the help of rangers and National Park Service managers.
Hiking will become easier in the future, Google says, with maps detailing entire routes from start to finish rather than a red pin in the middle of a route. Hiking or biking trails to the nearest end of each trail will also be offered.
