Its general secretary UN António Guterres sent a letter Russia, Ukraine And Türkiye to express concern over the implementation of an agreement allowing the safe export of wartime grain from several Ukrainian Black Sea ports, a UN official said today.

The Secretary General’s letter came after the United Nations said no ships were inspected as part of the deal on Tuesday “because the (participating) parties needed more time to reach agreement on operational priorities.”

The checks were repeated on Wednesday.
